The stated goal of the bill is to protect the well-being of children and teenagers engaging with digital media. Instead, this bill poses a serious threat to our fundamental rights, including freedom of expression and access to information. The requirement for online platforms to censor content deemed “inappropriate” for minors will stifle the free exchange of ideas and information that is vital for our democracy.
