Events Manager

Job Overview: This job is focused on booking, promoting, and navigating all logistics for the 1 hour live show Whore’s Eye View, which is actively touring nationally and internationally through 2024, into 2025. The show is a comedic mad dash through 10,000 years of history from a sex worker’s perspective by Kaytlin Bailey, an advocate for the decriminalization of sex work. Our goal is to take the show as far as it will go theatrically, and then get the show produced for a streaming platform so it can reach a major mainstream audience. 

Responsibilities & Duties: There are over 50 performances already scheduled for 2024. Additionally, we have leads in places to book more performances throughout the US and elsewhere. The Event Manager will follow up with these contacts to book more shows. The Events Manager will help ensure the success of these commitments through:

  • marketing efforts
  • press outreach
  • community connections
  • Manage contracts and insurance requests with our fiscal sponsor
  • book travel and accommodations
  • track finances related to shows
  • communicate with our Content Assistant for social media


  • Excellent communicator, both in writing and on video and phone calls
  • Organized and self motivated 
  • Experience booking, managing, and promoting live events
  • Interest in the movement to decriminalize sex work the the US
  • Comfortable using (and learning) online systems included Google Workspace products, Airtable, Canva, and others as required
  • You’ll need your own computer to do this job, which is a remote position

Commitment & Compensation: Remote position, located in the US. Work can be structured as part time employment or as a contractor position if you’re established as a business entity with an EIN. This position will be approximately 20 hours a week at $45/hour through the end of December 2024, when the agreement will be re-evaluated. Start date is July 1.
